Even with forecasts set for 100% chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain, the couple were instead granted a perfectly clear afternoon with the sun setting behind them at their ceremony. Thomas and Anthony celebrated their wedding in Sydney and were joined in a commitment ceremony at Thistle Hill Vineyard, Pokolbin. NSW amongst close family and friends. Both Thomas and Anthony loved the intimate and elegant nature of the venue which matched the theme of their celebrations.
Their love story began on January 29; the day the couple first met in 2013 would become a date set for many reasons to celebrate. One year later to the day, they were engaged and celebrated the milestone a few days later at Muse Restaurant in 2014. Again the couple returned to the restaurant on 29 January 2015 for their anniversary. It was only fitting they celebrated their wedding on the same day and in keeping with tradition by selecting the same venue.
“Our favourite moment of the day was watching our dearest family and friends come to us down our aisle of paper cranes. We wanted to turn the tradition of walking down the aisle on its head, and we were waiting at the altar for our guests to join us”
Celebrant Taylor crafted a very unique ceremony and there were very few dry eyes. Their dads particularly seemed to be getting choked up! Taylor’s warmth, sincerity and feeling were key features of their ceremony. So Taylor was the first person that they called to meet with. And the last. The agreed the day that they first met with Taylor that she would be the perfect fit to retell and help us celebrate our relationship together.
